Sociology: Emile Durkheim

Hello, today i'm going to talk about an important sociologist, who mades big contributions to the foundation of the sociology like a science: Emile Durkheim.

I discover Durkheim in the asignature of Sociologic Theory 1 in the last semester, and it was a french sociologist that was active between 1893 to 1912, with Karl Marx and Max Weber is considered a classic of the sociology. Durkheim perfected the positivist perspective of Comte, mainly to find the permanent forms of the society, putting up the eyes in what he called social facts. 

A social fact is all way of do , feel and think that has coercive power since the subject to the exterior or on the subject, is the study object of the sociology of Durkheim.

One of the first contributions of the author was related to the social job division, he propose that this fact was a point of break in the conformation and structure of the society, since the traditional society to the modern. Durkheim propose that the mainly changed was the norms of mutual dependence, show that in the traditional society predominates a  mechanic solidarity of similar parts characterized for the social cohesion, and for the other side shows that in the modern society predominates a organic solidarity of different and specialized  parts, characterized for be a complex society in where all depends of all, so it becomes necessary the constant collaboration of the people in the middle of the competence. 

A second contribution of Durkheim was the study of the phenomenon of suicide, in where propose that the suicide is explained by social facts, apart of the psychology facts. He says that in some social conditions are more probable the event of suicide, for example he says that in protestant society's are more suicides that in catholic society's, and that in war moments are less suicides that in peace moments.

In the previous post we talked about technology, now im going to talk about my favourite technology object. Remember that the techonology its not necessarily refer to electronic divices, techonology has been developed along the all history of the humanity, since the wheel, the ceramics to the cellphone. So, my favourite technologyc object is the acoustic guitar, i think is a very beautiful musical instrument, i feel that the sound of this object are very warm, and is a very practice instrument, beacuse you can carry out to any site, and it sounds loud. At last, as is a very popular instrument, you can practice with a lot of songs and with a large amount of material to study.

Mobile Phones

Nowadays, cell phone use is very present in the functioning of our lives, especcially in the fields of information, communication and entertainment. Considering the level of use and impact of the device at the society, at the moment to support the relations and be informed, i couldnt give a solution to the use of cell phones and delete the dependence what it generates. However i would to say some consequences how i see and informed. 

In first time, like any other digital divice the bright of the screen affects the vision, can pruduce headaches and the capacity to fall sleep. The radiation and the electromagnetics waves that the cell generates, haves a strong impact in ours brains and may damage the genetic material, besides i feel that the electromagnetics waves afects our animic estate and sometimes dificultts be tranquil and relax when the divices are arround us. Because, i recomend put the cellphone in aviator mode at the nights, and at the time of rest. 

However, the cell phones they have begun to simbolyze peoble, to other people in the lonesomennes.  

Why i chose my carrer

When i was in the last two years of High School i liked so much the history class, so at the moment of see what i do after graduating, i thought studing some  branch of social sciences. As i was in te last years of the School, and i didnt kwon what it was stay in the university, i was very expecting to enter to the university, so that decided enrol at the next year of graduate, now i think i could waited a year, but i like study and learn new things.

I choose sociolgy because, i really like observe the social situations of the daily live, like the interactions of the street, my relations, the atmosphere of the public transport, etc. I find this interesting and important to comprend how we are.

Hello, my name is Joaquin Morales, some people call me "Joaco", or simply Joaquín or "Juaquín". I have 19 years old  and i live in Santiago de Chile. Actually i study sociology at Universidad de Chile in second grade.

I have two brothers, Pablo of seven years old, and Ignacia, of fourteen.

I really like listen music, in special, argentine rock, chilean pop-rock and jazz music. Also i like drawing and write of the nature, the humans, and my life.

In the last days i have been seeing the series "Stranger things". I really like so much, and i dont think is overrated, the actors are perfect, the theme are very well decorated, according to the decade of the 80s, and the supernatural facts.
